My early-days computer geek buddy and former classmate Eli did a TED talk.  It’s relevant if you use the internet at all, and quite good.  He also was a founder of MoveOn.org.

My great friend and all around standup guy Ferris stars in this documentary about the history of Skooling.

My ladyfriend Alanna Hale is doing a really interesting project for the next year: a portrait a day.  She’s running a Tumblr account specifically for this purpose, with quasi-journal entries per each portrait.  Nice photos, and the captions really fill in the emotional content behind each picture.  I may be a little biased by check it out!  
Her portfolio launched a few months ago, and she was featured yesterday by the Bold Italic.
