I’ve got a small pen and ink piece in this upcoming show in San Francisco at 111 Minna Gallery. From the flyer:
“Jumbo year end group show, celebrating our creative friends, family, and favorites”
A bunch of friends and good artists have a ton of pieces in it as well, and the opening is this Thursday, December 2nd. Come on out and rub elbows!
Also, I’ll be drawing live on Tuesday, December 14th also at 111 Minna, starting at 6pm and going til whenever. There’ll be two huge tables of people cranking out affordable artwork live and in person. You should come to that as well!
k10k is a main reason I continued pursuing website craft. They’re up for a ‘digital archeology’ award of some sort. Toke describes the early days in this video.
So, Google+. So far, kinda whelming. Most activity is test-oriented and not a lot goes on thus far. I think their social structure will be better than FB’s, as far as not needing a 1-to-1 ‘friend’ship agreement between everyone in order to be linked. We’ll see what happens.
As a Mint user, this looks like a really nice, intelligent alternative. Mint is great, but they’ve suffered from bloat-clutter and I always feel like I’m pushing my way through a crowded bazaar when I log in and land on the home page (deals! save money! hey!).
I am salivating over Bank Simple… AND they are moving to Portland. Neat. It is going to be funny to watch them out run Mint. Oh Intuit.
Yesterday had a lot of attention on Paper, a new iPad app for drawing and arting. I tried it out, and it certainly is nice. Can’t guarantee I’ll continue to use it once the attention has died down (which did happen for me with Penultimate). Here’s a behind the scenes article about it from the Verge.
